If you are fed up of dithering about, procrastinating, feeling lost and with no purpose in life, then these 5 books are a must read!
Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson
This book has been described as a motivational business fable which I think makes it sound quite dry. In fact, it is a lovely tale of 4 characters and the different ways they react to change – everyone who reads it will find they identify with one of the four main characters. Will you recognise yourself as someone who embraces change and develops as a result – or do you continue to do the same thing over and over again?
Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time by Brian Tracy
This is a really easy read, full of common sense, practical ways forward to help you get some focus in your life; begin each day by tackling the thing that you really don’t want to do/ have been avoiding (the frog) and the rest of the day will fall in to place.
Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers
“Taking responsibility means never blaming anyone else for anything you are being, doing, having, or feeling.”
Susan Jeffers has to be one of the most well known of the motivational writers; her books are read across the world and inspire many to make positive changes to the way they contribute to and see the world.
This book is a longer read than the first two and so full of memorable quotes that you will probably revisit it time and again.
I was fortunate to buy some copies of an abridged version in Waterstones a while ago and have gifted these to my clients.
I Heart Me: The Science of Self-Love by David R. Hamilton
Immersing yourself in any book by David R Hamilton is a great way to spend a few hours and will inspire you to examine your inner voice, how you see yourself and treat yourself so that you avoid self sabotage.
Everyday Happiness 365 Ways To A Joyful Life by Emma Hill
This is just one of a series of books available which has a quote for every day of the year. These books are often available for a couple of pounds in shops such as Cut-Price Bookshop and are a great investment. Turn the page each day for a new, inspirational quote or task.
I would love to hear how you get on with these books!x
