Hypnotherapy near me

Hypnotherapy Near Me 2020:

This time last year, life was pretty ordinary for most of us and we had no idea about how our world was about to change.

I was based in a GP centre in our local town, working surgery hours and seeing clients predominantly from the local area. Clients had to take in to account the many and varied roadworks and diversions from surrounding towns but we did have good carparking facilities when they arrived and the building was wheelchair friendly.

Back then, if you were looking for hypnotherapy and you had no personal recommendations to help you, you would probably find me by using a search engine such as Google or Bing and a search term such as  “hypnotherapy near me” or “local hypnotherapist”. I could also be found through a search for “anxiety” as  I am a hypnotherapist who specialises in working with anxiety.

Alternatively, you might have looked in a directory or specialist listing such as 3 Best Rated where I have been listed for the past 4 years.

In the UK, back in 2020 when we all led very busy lives, chances are that you would be expecting to see a hypnotherapist face to face, so you would be looking for information about opening times, location, accessibility  etc  – perhaps somewhere within about 10 miles of home or work to limit travel time and avoid hours in the car.

Much like buying a new car or a new house, finding a hypnotherapist or other therapist is something that should be researched to find the best fit for you.

So, using “hypnotherapy near me” or “local hypnotherapist” would really narrow down the search and would give you  a reasonable spread of therapists from which to choose.

Hypnotherapy Near Me 2021:

Fast forward a year and doing things online via Zoom or Skype, whether that’s a work meeting or a birthday party, has become the norm.

For several weeks in the first Lockdown most of us didn’t even get in the car and our world  got smaller and smaller as restrictions locked in, but then came the Zoom Boom and our world began to expand again.

In terms of seeing a hypnotherapist or other therapist for that matter, someone  using Google to search “Hypnotherapy Near Me” will see therapists listed who live in the geographical area but nowadays that no longer limits the potential client.

Providing you have a decent internet connection and somewhere private where you will not be interrupted, then there is no reason why you cannot work with  a therapist at the other end of the country.

In fact, some people actually like the idea of being a client of someone at the other end of the country;  they are unlikely to bump in to them at a social event or have mutual friends and it protects their privacy.

I’m in East Yorkshire, but there is absolutely no reason why I can’t work with clients in Doncaster, Dundee, Plymouth or Cardiff – in fact there’s no reason why I can’t work with clients much, much further afield.

A big part of my work is with clients with anxiety. When Covid-19 came along it had a big impact on those with anxiety; being able to work online with them has been hugely beneficial and has allowed them to get their life back on track from the safety of their own home.

At the time of writing we are in a national Lockdown but restrictions are regularly reassessed and adjusted. If you are in any doubt about what you can and can’t do then you’ll find up-to-date information about Covid here.

Like many of my colleagues I am very happy to work online and at the moment have no plans to see clients face to face this year.

I offer a free, no obligation, 20 minute phone/Zoom consultation – you are under no obligation to book a program with me after that.

If you would like to know more about whether hypnotherapy is for you, or to book a consultation, please get in touch via the Contact Page or by phone/text on 07910 407878.
